le trésor
2013
5th of june at 6pm and 7pm
Chapelle des Petits Augustins
ENSBA, Paris
Le trésor was presented at the Chapelle des Petits Augustins, at École Nationale Supérieure des Beaux-Arts de Paris, on the 5th of June 2013 for the exhibition Langages: Entre le dire et le faire — curated by Filipa Oliveira — for the Fondation Calouste Gulbenkian and was also part of the program Chantiers D'Europe: Lisbonne-Paris.
The performance revisits the involvement of René Huyghe (1906-97), Painting curator of the Louvre, in the artworks evacuation during World War II. The Chapel, where the performance happened, hid during the French Revolution art works that should have been vandalized or destroyed by decree, like the tombs of the Kings of France.
